During an average skiing day, the calorie burnt count is around 3000.<\/p><p>So a week\u2019s ski holiday can help you lose around 3-5 pounds! Skiing puts you in constant crouching position. It is quite a workout for your inner and outer thighs, quads, glutes and hamstrings. The beautiful surroundings and focus needed may distract you from the burn. But boy! Will you <em>feel<\/em> it the next day!<\/p><p>It also helps strengthens your knees and joints. If you suffer from any joint ailments, it is an excellent choice for exercise. This is because it\u2019s relatively low impact as opposed to running or other land-based sports.<\/p><h4><strong>Healthy eating and hydration<\/strong><\/h4><p>All your meals during a ski trip will be eaten to give you the energy to fuel, refuel and recuperate.
